# WhatsApp

> Business messaging over the WhatsApp Business API

WhatsApp lets an agent hold a conversation over a tenant's WhatsApp Business
number — useful for support follow-ups, order updates, and conversational
sales.

## Sending a message

Send a WhatsApp message to a contact directly from the dashboard.

## Templates

Outbound-initiated conversations (where the business messages first) must use
a pre-approved WhatsApp template message.

## Campaigns

To message many contacts at once, use a
[WhatsApp Campaign](/docs/features/campaigns/whatsapp) instead of sending messages
one at a time.
